Descrizione: The documentary black-and-white footage by filmmaker Ernst Hirsch shows cultural and social events in Dresden in 1967, including an exhibition by artist Wilhelm Rudolf, the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone of the Palace of Culture on February 13, 1967, and the 300th anniversary of the State Theater. Furthermore, the film documents the construction of the research reactor at the Central Institute for Nuclear Physics in Rossendorf, which was inaugurated in 1957, celebrations for the electrification of the Freiberg-Dresden railroad line in 1966, the restoration of the Wandelaltar in the St. Marien town church in Borna and the carnival parade in Radeburg in 1967.
This film was digitized as part of the model project "Sicherung des audiovisuellen Erbes in Sachsen" (Securing Audiovisual Heritage in Saxony) of the Film Association of Saxony (2018) in cooperation with: Hirsch Film Filmproduktion, Sächsische Landesbibliothek - Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek, funded by: Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art.
